The Stockings Were Hung...

Mom's 2007 Mantle Display

September 16, 2008

Remember when you were a child and you had that thrill of running in to check and see what Santa had left in your stocking? It was one of the funnest and most meaningful traditions to me. We always had wonderful gifts, but there was just something so neat about the stockings and what was in them. There were always things that "Santa" just seemed to know I would love and seemed like they were made just for me.

Some families have different traditions where stockings are concerned... Some use the same stocking every year for each child, and then some families buy everyone a new stocking each year. However you do your Stocking Traditions, know that they are so meaningful and can be a lot of fun for you to do as well!

I have decided this year, for our gifts we give family and extended family, to add to our gifts to them, each their very own stocking filled with things just for them.

I've put together some lists of stocking stuffer ideas for different themes/ages/genders. Along with the themes, I also put what I call "random" items in my stockings. Things everyone needs, and is small enough to go in them and make great filler. These can be found a number of places including Dollar Stores, Wal-Mart, Hobby Lobby, Michaels.

The list could go on forever, but this is meant to get you thinking about those special to you, and what they would love, and only you can truly decide that! A great place to find stockings is on eBay. I have linked the eBay Christmas Stocking Category HERE.

This is one of the best sites I have ever seen. Loved it. All the pictures and ideas are great and the ideas are so thought out. I have heard you will also sell some special ornaments from your Christmas Booth. You should let everyone know so they can order them.
